• Carribbean Roots and Jazz Trio (Steel Drums) • Acoustic Reggae, Calypso, Ska, Latin, Bossa Nova & Jazz! The Caribbean Roots and Jazz Trio transforms the jazz trio format by merging it into the sunny realm of music from the Caribbean islands. The group is an ideal alternative for private parties and weddings where a romantic and uplifting feel is desired, both for listening and dancing. The CRJ band members bring with them the absolute deepest understanding of the specialized styles of the islands. Drummer Michael "Toby Tobas has worked with many of the top artists and Steel Orchestras, in Trinidad and toured the world with Harry Belafone from 1972 - 1977. The CRJ repertoire features instrumental versions of most well known Caribbean classics and, of course anything by Marley.
